A Spelling Pretest will be given the first day of the week. Each day students are recommended to write each word that they missed 3 times and practice spelling out loud. Friday the test will be given. There are 20 words and 3 bonus dictation sentences. If everything is correct on the dictation sentence, the student will be given a bonus point. Spelling tests come from our Treasures reading series. They are graded and put into Powerschool under Language Arts.
Students who get all correct on the pretest will be given the vocabulary words for the week to study for their spelling test.
Spelling word practice will be done in the spelling notebook.
